Start your Fourth of July in motion at the inaugural Stars & Stripes Downtown 5K! This high-energy morning run invites participants to race through the heart of Downtown San Antonio, kicking off a full day of celebration.
The route begins at Legacy Park and finishes at Civic Park at Hemisfair, where runners can keep the celebration going with post-race activities and amenities to start the holiday.

Introducing the 2026 Downtown 5K Medal
Introducing the inaugural medal for the Stars & Stripes Downtown 5K.
Inspired by the larger Stars & Stripes initiative, this commemorative medal celebrates the return of a true Fourth of July experience to the heart of Downtown San Antonio. Designed to mark the beginning of a new legacy event, the medal reflects community spirit that will carry this celebration forward for generations to come.
This year’s medal also features “America’s 250th,” honoring the 250th anniversary of American independence and recognizing San Antonio’s role in celebrating this historic national milestone.
