Patriotic Pageantry in the Heart of Downtown

The Stars & Stripes on Houston Street Independence Day Parade is where Downtown San Antonio’s modern Independence Day celebration began.

Launched in 2024, the parade marked the return of a major Fourth of July parade to downtown for the first time in more than a century. Now, in 2026, Stars & Stripes returns bigger than ever as San Antonio celebrates America’s 250th birthday.

Produced in partnership with some of San Antonio’s most respected parade professionals, this year’s parade will bring the pageantry worthy of a national scale celebration. From floats and performers to community groups and patriotic surprises, the parade sets the stage for a full day of Independence Day events in the heart of Military City, USA.
